Job Shadows
IGNITE's Job Shadow program allows girls and young women interested in a particular technology-related position to spend the day with a Mentor learning more about their job. The Student Member on the Job Shadow follows their Mentor around the office, doing whatever the professional would do on a typical day. It is a chance for the girls to catch a glimpse of the job that they might be considering and have their questions answered about it.
If you want to know what it's like to work in a certain industry, get to know some of the IGNITE members! Email them to see if you could Job Shadow them or fill out the Job Shadow Sign Up Form. Once a connection has been made, you will work out a mutually agreeable (on non-school days) time to meet.
