- It is an enjoyable career and they like what they do for a living
"I liked that there was a lot of different things that I can choose from; before I knew this, I thought it was all just computer work. The most interesting thing I learned is that I don't have to have a tech degree to work at Microsoft. There are a lot of different kinds of jobs there." - The career provides a good working environment. Working with smart people and others who inspire them is important.
"The part I liked best was that all of these women come from different backgrounds and really like what they do..." - What these career professionals do makes a difference! ( As Americans’ knowledge, use and familiarity with engineering and technology broadens, its place in our society grows and new opportunities are created for the future.)
"I liked that the Professional Members described what you have to do to get into high tech and that you don't have to be the best to do it, you just follow your passion. Everyone can make a difference." - It pays well and there are added benefits!
"The benefits and opportunities of a technology or engineering career seem very interesting, especially the income possibilities!" - Careers in technology, engineering and science offer flexibility and a chance to grow!
Innovative thinking and creative solutions will launch the new age in these growing fields. The possibilities are endless. Careers that do not exist today will be created for this generation of girls and young women smart enough to pursue them.
