GLITTER (Get Launched In Technology Through Education) Conference

During the 2009-2010 school year, Seattle Central Community College will hold their annual GLITTER (Get Launched In Technology Through Education) Conference for IGNITE Student Members.

The college will host 80-150 local high school girls in an inspirational conference encouraging them to seek higher education and more specifically, training in Information Technology as an integral part of their future career choices.

Outreach coordinator Gina Nakamura will give step-by-step instructions of how to apply to the college and how to fill out financial aid, grant and scholarship applications. For any girl or young woman searching for scholarships, grants and funding for college expenses and tuition, this is a session you do not want to miss!

Throughout the day, the girls will have an opportunity to visit several informational IT sessions that provide them with hands-on learning opportunities with instructors.
