Hi All

We had a wonderful visit today at Ingraham HS. The presenters made it a very special event. They went into the audience and got those girls taking about their dreams and passions, it was awesome!!

Thank you to Kathie Flood - Microsoft, and welcome to the Seattle Chapter of IGNITE, it is so great to have you. Thank you to Marta Smith - Microsoft, a long time volunteer who hardly misses an event, and to Vicki Ho - Expedia.com/graduate of Ingraham HS 2002. Vicki told her IGNITE story, how she started in IGNITE the year we started, (she was a junior) and sharing her story with the girls about how IGNITE helped her in her career was really inspiring. Thank you all for making the magic of IGNITE come alive today. It was a great event.

Thank you to the dedicated teachers and Librarian at Ingraham who always support IGNITE and help us succeed. Thank you to Barbara Cummins, Stan White, Joan Bayley and Betty the wonderful Librarian.

• I have learned the varieties of Hi Tech careers and how they're so different and fun. I have never thought of considering in this career, ( I hate computers) but after coming here, I am reconsidering it. :)
• I liked how everybody explained what they did to get where they are now.
• I want to go to every IGNITE event.
• What I liked was the guest speakers. They were a great inspiration to us. I like the information they gave to us today and it helped me a lot.
• I liked how the guests speakers talked about what they do and how life is fun for them. I love the idea of traveling.
• I liked how everyone talked about the different careers and what they do everyday.
• It was cool to hear about game designing.
• I liked hearing how they got on top.
• I liked everything about today's event. I really liked how the guest speakers were enthusiastic. I learned today about getting a technical degree.

  I learned about traveling for your job and how the company will pay for you to travel.
• I liked the women's experiences. I learned that your job day can be flexible which is cool.
• I enjoyed it a lot. I learned a lot, it couldn't get any better. I loved hearing about the women who gets to instant message for her job, that is cool.
• The best part was hearing about the guest's experiences. They get to travel.
• I thought everything was interesting.
• I especially liked listening to the guest speakers. I did not expect to get so much from listening to their success, stories and that I was able to relate to all of them in some way or another. I also liked that the panel of guest speaker worked in a variety of different tech fields.
• To me it was interesting to hear what a typical day was like in the field of technology. This meeting was awesome!!
• I want to do more things like this!
• Being in the technology world you get to travel!

Wow what a great experience for the girls. They really let us know how much this means to them.
