Hi All,

We had such a fabulous presentation today at Sealth High School. It was amazing, special, and just plain incredible. These events just get better and better, and I ask how is that possible, but it just does. That is great. The women's stories are riveting for all of us to hear, we love hearing them. The girls are really into listening to them, we all are. It is a magical event, we all have a great time each and every one of us.

I want to thank everyone. First I want to thank our incredible guest speakers. YOu all did such a great job connecting with the girls and sharing your stories with them. They loved it. Thank you to Joanne Brandsma (Program Manager - Microsoft), Kendra Powers (Systems Engineer - Boeing), Lisa Mirth (Technical Project Manager - Amazon.com), Heather Warncke (Research - Microsoft), Jeanetter Jarvis (Security Engineer - Boeing), and Elizabeth Crowley (Security Engineer - Boeing).

A big thank you to our amazing Career Center Specialist at Sealth, Lisa Fabitz!! You are so wonderful and you work so hard to make this event great for us. It was a excellent turnout and the library was a very uplifting and beautiful place to meet. Thank you so much to the wonderful librarian Pat Neal for inviting us into the library!!

Of course we want to hear what the girls thought about this event. so here are their comments. They always say it best.

• It was a very good program. I like to be in engineering. So when you explain how fun it is I really like it. I was glad about the information you gave us today and that I want to learn more about computers and study about it more.
• I learned a lot about these types of careers that I didn't know, and the women were great.
• I liked learning about the internships and the different companies. I look forward to doing more IGNITE events.
• I liked that I saw women who were interested in technology. I never thought about it at all, really. so that was really cool. I didn't know that traveling was involved with technology. I can't wait to do field trips.
• I liked the guests a lot. They were real people like us sharing their stories of how they found their careers. I liked everything. I learned everything new that I didn't know. I really liked the information about internships. It was all great.
• I really liked how there were different representatives from different fields that came and from different companies too. It is a good thing that women can play a role in all of these fields. It inspired me to push through as well.
• I really got interested in internships and how it could impact working for a specific company when you work as an intern before hand.
• It gave me motivation to try new things and not just settle for a good job but to enjoy it. I thought it was very interesting that the women all studied different things in college and then had different careers then the things they studied.
• I liked how each of the women answered our questions
• This event really helped me better understand how many job opportunities there are in technology. Also they did a great job explaining how the process of college worked too. The most interesting thing about today's presentation was that the women were in the same fields but all had different ways of getting there.
• I really liked hearing about all the different careers. I didn't know there were so many different careers in computers. I love math and science so this was awesome. I didn't know there were so many ways to get a job, and different paths to a career.
• I liked this because half of the stuff we heard I really didn't know.
• I liked that college was talked about, it gave me an idea of what to look for after my high school years. The presenters covered all of my questions.
• I liked the speakers and I learned so much. I didn't know that women were working at Boeing.
• I liked how most of these careers ended up in places people never thought they would be. You can achieve anything even if you think you can't.
• I liked that the speakers made us feel comfortable about us not knowing what we wanted to do. This event was very good.
• What I liked about today was that the women talked to us about what they did and stuff.
• The most interesting thing I heard today was when one of them switched different positions. Opportunities.
• I liked all the new information on different jobs that I will look into. I am now going to look into more fields for my future.
• I enjoyed the diversity in people's backgrounds and how each woman was warm and friendly.
• I loved hearing everyone's inspiring stories and knowing that it is possible to change your major.
• Some of them had different degrees but still did what they wanted to do. Everything was very interesting.
• I learned that I do not have to be decided on a career right now, but the one that I pick should make me happy.
• I liked how we learned of others footsteps through their career and finding what they enjoy and how it isn't easy, but worth it.
• I liked how they came and gave a description of their lives and jobs, and the how ignite gives us the opportunities.
• I learned a lot and realized that there are many different jobs.

It was a great event and the girls really did get so much out of this.
