Hi All

There was a wonderful event earlier this month at Microsoft. It was the Microsoft Women's conference and I was invited to speak about IGNITE.

It was a great honor to be asked, and I really enjoyed sharing all about IGNITE with about 200 women attending this great event.

I want to thank Lori Longthorne and Molly Cox for inviting me and our students,. Lori was such a great organizer for this event. What a great job Lori!! And Molly was our students Mentor for this event. Thank you Molly for taking such great care of our young women, who had a great time. The conference was a huge success and we had at least 50 more women sign up to volunteer in IGNITE.

I also want to thank Karl Ruff, for attending the conference with his students who really enjoyed it. Karl teachers Project Lead the Way classes at Roosevelt High School and he is the best. Thank you Karl!!

I also want to thank two of our IGNITE alumni, who came to speak about IGNITE and how IGNITE has helped them in their lives. Thank you to Kelly Gonzalez, who now attends the UW, and to Alice Yeh, who now attends MIT, You did such a great job!!

This was such an outstanding event, and it was such an honor for IGNITE to be included. I want to welcome all the new IGNITE volunteers to IGNITE!!
