We had a great trip on Wednesday to Microsoft for the girls at Rainier Beach and South Lake High schools. This is our first trip to Microsoft this school year. We have 7 more visits to Microsoft this year with 13 more schools visiting.

To sign up. please e-mail Janice Hunter for the schedule of visits at jhunter@microsoft.com.
Thank you to Janice Hunter for setting up these trips for us.

The girls were wowed by the Home and Office of the Future. They came out just beaming and in disbelief that technology is so cool and it does so many things they have never thought about. The tours were exceptional and the tour leaders really cared about giving the girls such a great experience.

Then we had a panel lunch and discussion with such fantastic women. Everyone was so passionate about connecting with the girls and inspiring them.

Thank you to everyone at Microsoft for making this such a special day.

Thank you to Betsy Norton Middaugh, Sr. Program Manager, someone who has rarely missed a lunch discussion in all these years. I can think of one time, in ten years. Betsy is clearly dedicated to the girls and being there for them. Thank you Betsy.

Thank you to Juzen Ruelos, Sr. Business Analyst. Juzen has also been a long time volunteer in IGNITE. It is great to have her at these events and caring so much to meet with the girls. Thank you Juzen.

Thank you to Lilia Gutnik, Program Manager, a new volunteer to IGNITE. Even though this is only her second event, Lilia has quite an impact on the girls. Her passion is obvious to everyone and she is able to inspire the girls in such a light hearted way. Thank you
Lilia. WE hope you continue with IGNITE for a long time to come.

And Lilia brought two of her colleagues who are new to IGNITE. Thank you to Manisha Patel, Program Manager and Annika Elias, Program Manager who did a great job talking with the girls. Manisha told me she was already hooked. It was their first time and they were great. Thank you all for making this so special for the girls.

Thank you to the staff at Rainier Beach and South Lake High School. They are all so wonderful to work with. They appreciate this experience so much. They want the kids to get a chance to see this kind of technology and interact with such amazing women. They all thank us over and over.

Thank you to Barbara Quintana, Career Center Specialist at South Lake. Barbara is amazing and makes it all so easy. She is so caring of the kids and wants them to have this extraordinary experience.

Thank you to Barbara Moore, Principal of South Lake HS. who attended the event yesterday.

Anyone who meets Barbara knows she has such a gift with the kids and helping them be successful.

Barbara values these experiences for her students so much and values what we do. Thank you for your support Barbara.

Thank you to the staff at Rainier Beach HS. Pat Bell, Technology teacher, who works so hard for the kids. Thank you to Becky Rosenthal, School Social worked who attended the event. She is new to RB, and clearly wants to help us give the kids all of these
experiences. And thank you to the amazing staff at RB who works so hard to get the kids to these events. Mary Wilson, Main Office staff, Maleifua M Lazik who also cares so much and helps Mary in the main office.

Thank you all for making this day so special.
