Bethel, Spanaway Lake, & Graham Kapowsin High Schools Presentation, March 9th, 2012
The Bethel School District just hosted our first IGNITE event this year. Forty eight fabulous young ladies from four high schools attended the event on March 9, 2012. The event was held at the Bethel School District Office. Our culinary arts program prepared a generous and delicious lunch for everyone. It consisted of chicken fettuccini, salad, and the most amazing chocolate dipped strawberries. It’s all about the food right?

We had a fabulous event at Garfield HS this week! It was such a great turnout, the room was packed full. The presenters were amazing. And the teacher is extraordinary. All of this equals a resoundingly successful IGNITE event.
First, I want to thank the wonderful women from industry who took the time out of their busy workday to come and talk with high school girls about their careers and the journey to get there.

Hi All,
What a fabulous event we had yesterday! The girls had a great time, and the women volunteers were amazing!
WE had a tour of the Home of the Future and the Envisioning Center first, and then had a beautiful lunch and met with women from Microsoft, who shared their story with the girls.
The girls came prepared with great questions which sparked wonderful discussions.
It was a very successful day.

Microsoft Field Trip with Sealth High School, 01-12-12
Hi all,
We had a fabulous day yesterday at Microsoft!
There were 40 fantastic young women who attended this event. They were a fabulous group of girls and extremely appreciative of this experience. On these particular trips we visit the Home of the Future, which features possible future technology that would be in a typical home 5-10 years in the future. We also get a tour of the Envisioning Center which features the business side of Microsoft and girls get to try new technology as a part of the experience.

Job Shadow Day at Microsoft with Sealth High School, December 15th, 2011
HI All,
What a fantastic day!
Microsoft Field Trip with Ingraham High School, November 17th, 2011
We had such a great trip to Microsoft on November 17th. We went to the Home of the Future and the Envisioning Center at Microsoft. Each tour is one hour and the girls get to pick one tour to attend. Then we meet with women who work at Microsoft, from all over the company. Microsoft provides a great lunch and the women tell their story to the girls, and the girls get to ask questions. The girls prepare ahead of time so that they have thought about what they would like to learn on that day.
